"The Beacon" Development Details

The proposed new apartment complex development will be called “The Beacon” and reside at the SE corner of Hanley and Wydown.   The development is proposed for an area that encompasses the city parking lot as well as 3 neighboring apartment buildings.

The basics of the plan include the following:

  • 237,000 sq ft building

  • 6+ stories tall from the Hanley grade (the highest point of the lot)

  • 84 rental units

  • 188 parking spaces (135 dedicated for rental units, remaining for public parking and retail)

  • Parking entry and exit from Hanley Rd

  • 20% of the first floor (~6,000 sq ft; comparable to the size of Starbucks) would be retail space
